Sprockets Ride School caters specifically to anxious kids and adults by using a a dedicated coach to provide one-on-one lessons.
Our philosophy is that everyone should be able to experience the joys of cycling. Some just take longer than others to get there.
Our Team
The team is made up of coaches, educators and athletes with a combined experience of over 50 years.
Our passion and enthusiasm for cycling, combined with patience, and ability to work with children, make us the ideal choice for delivering a learn-to-ride program.

Stel
Founder
Stel has been nurturing new riders as a volunteer for over 25 years.
As a founding member of Neo Cycling Club, he has developed an understanding of how to help young riders overcome their fears.
His time at BayBUG helped him do the same with adults.
Originally trained as an engineer, he has a strong understanding of the physics of cycling.
Combined with a natural problem solving skill, he can identify hurdles a new rider is facing and implement solutions that allow them to reach their goals.
Stel’s full time job is working with kids who have additional needs in a school sport environment.

Alexandra
Senior Instructor
Despite her youth, Alex has been involved in cycling and working with children for over 15 years.
First as an athlete, then as a coach, before gaining employment in education.
Alex works with kids requiring additional needs as an SLSO (teachers aid), while juggling her time coaching and studying for her teaching degree.

Jemma
Senior Instructor
Originally an accomplished cyclist with Neo Cycling Club, Jemma started teaching kids in Neo’s Learn-to-Ride program while she was still in high school.
These days, she is focusing on her degree while teaching kids on weekends.
Jemma is currently learning to manage the Sprockets Ride School Program.
